Ojców National Park

It is Poland's smallest national park, established in 1956. The park is approximately 16 kilometers north of Kraków, in the Jurassic Rock Kraków-Częstochowa Upland. The park contains numerous castles, including a ruined Gothic castle at Ojcow and a better-preserved Renaissance castle at Pieskowa Skała, both of which were part of a late-medieval system of defenses in southwestern Poland.

In Ojców you will find a unique landscape - deep, steep-sided ravines and rocks taking on most astonishing shapes (e.g. Cudgel of Herkules). There are also about 400 caves in the Park. The Most famous are Grota Lokietka ("King Lokietek's Cave"), Jaskinia Ciemna ("Dark Cave") and Zbójnicka ("Highland Robber's Cave"). These makes Ojców National Park a great place for foot and bicycle trips (you can rent a bike on the premises.
